Tea Party

Rachel's friend Madelyn had a tea party birthday. It was one of the cutest things I had ever seen. They each had their own place setting with a name card and a hat for each of them to wear. Madelyn's mom made her cake and it turned out great.

Nursery

The top pictures are Rachel helping put the crib together. She got bored after a while. Thanks to Josh & Carrie for helping me get everything put up after the shower! Now we just wait.....

Jacob's Baby Shower

About 20 ladies at church hosted a baby shower for Jacob. We got just about everything we needed to get us started when he arrives. It was good seeing so many friends and family. We are really blessed.

Happy 50th Anniversary

My grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 19th.

A couple of updates

Curt started his new job as a Paramedic with RPS about two weeks ago. He is based out of Jasper for now while he trains. They just released him to work on his own so we are hoping he'll have a set schedule in the next few weeks or so. Rachel and I have loved having him home so much, especially in the evenings. Rachel talks him into letting her stay home with him all day a couple days out of the week.

I am 30 weeks today. It's hard to believe we only have 10 weeks to go until Jacob is due to arrive. I am going to the dr every two weeks now. I failed the first sugar test but passed the second one. I've gained 23 lbs so far (yikes) but everything else looks great. Jacob is a very active little guy. He kicks and moves constantly.

Curt started painting the nursery today. The bed and bedding are in so hopefully I can post pictures of it soon.

Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny brought Rachel flip flops, pajamas, sunglasses, fingernail polish, and a notebook. She said she was glad the easter bunny brought her cool things.

We went to church then to my grandmother's for lunch. It was delicious as always and we ate way too much! Afterwards we had to do our traditional photo shoot with all the kids. I am 29 weeks in these pictures and the pounds are definately showing.

Easter at the Griers

We had Easter dinner with Curt's side of the family the Saturday before Easter. We had a great bbq dinner with baked beans, corn on the cob, chips, and strawberry shortcake. It was delicious. After dinner, the kids dyed Easter eggs.

Jacob's bedding

Here is a picture of the bedding we ordered for Jacob's room. Will post pics of his actual nursery when we get it finished.

This box must have been much more comfortable than the couch to watch tv in.

Happy Birthday Elijah

My nephew Elijah turned 4 on February 11. We celebrated at his house with a dinosaur themed birthday party.

22 Weeks pic

More Snow

And it snowed again! Re Re came to play with Rachel in the snow. Rachel has loved every minute of the snow that we've had this winter. After being wet and cold from playing in it she came in to tell me she needed to change clothes so she could go back out and play.
