Hardwood floors

Yea!!!!!! My hardwoods are finally in and finished. We put hardwoods in our den, livingroom/dining room, hallway, and foyer. It took a while but I am so happy that it is finished and looks great. Thanks to Curt, Clay, and my Dad for working so hard on it!

Rachel's 3K Graduation

Every year, Mrs. Pat has a little graduation and promotion day for the kids at the daycare. Rachel is being promoted to 4K this year so she'll be at Mrs. Pat's one more year before going to Kindergarten. Rachel has really come out of her shell since the last promotion. Last year, she wouldn't even walk up in front of everyone and this year she was the star of the show! They sang songs and recited poems and stories. She knew every word to every song and sang louder than any kid there. I have to say we were pretty proud. Thank you Mrs. Pat for making this a special day for the kids and families.

Rachel's haircut

Well we finally got Rachel's hair cut. This is only about her 4th haircut in her life because it took so long before her hair started growing. She was such a big girl. Lisa did a great job as usual! She just looks so different to me.

To be a kid again.......

We've been renovating the house a little and are putting in hardwood floors. We wanted to save a little money and put them in ourselves. Needless to say, it's taking a really long time since Curt has been in school so he's just working a little at a time. For some reason, all of the displaced furniture has brought out Rachel's imagination. She decided she was going to use my pantry as a grocery store and move them from the pantry to the empty entertainment center. She was occupied with this for a while and after a little bit she said "Mama, come look at this birthday cake I made for my baby" She opened a tub of Crisco and added candles and even icing she found in the pantry. She added a pony for decoration! I thought it was hilarious so I had to take pictures and blog.

Madelyn's 4th Birthday Party

Rachel's friend since 6 weeks old had her 4th Luau birthday party. She had it outside with the pool and slip and slides. After the party was over, we stayed for a little while to let the girls play. They had a great time as usual. Happy Birthday Madelyn!

Jaden's 2nd Birthday Party

Today was my nephew Jaden's second birthday party. He loves Elmo so he had an Elmo themed party and Elmo was even going to come visit him. About an hour into the party, a clown with green hair shows up. They sent the wrong character! Crystin was very upset but since the clown was already there and the kids were expecting something, she let her stay. She did face painting, balloon characters, and a few tricks. I couldn't believe Rachel got anywhere near her. It all turned out to be fine. Happy Birthday Buddy!

Crystin's graduation

Crystin graduated with honors with her Associates Degree in Accounting and a minor in Marketing and Business. She's been going to school for a while now at night while working full time with a husband and two kids. We are so proud of her!
