We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Hayden with my family and friends. We had a great time! Rachel couldn't decide which pumpkin she wanted. After she picked up four or five, she decided on a white one. She liked all the jumping things but Curt didn't. He said she was getting trampled by the big kids but she didn't mind it at all. She really liked the pony ride also.

My Pretty Girl

Rachel looked so cute the other day that I just had to take her picture. After I took the first one, she wanted to pose for the next one. She then wanted to take a picture of her baby.

Go Tigers!

Last week at Mrs. Pat's, they had team color day. We had to go buy Rachel a new shirt since she has outgrown hers from last year. We also bought a new bow but you can't see it. She was very excited. Go Tigers!

Emily's 7th Bday Party

Emily had her 7th Birthday party at Build A Bear this year. Each child got to pick out an animal of their choice and give it a heart, a bath, and pick out clothes for it to wear. Rachel had already decided she was going to get a cat before we got there. She stuck to what she wanted and picked a tabby cat and named her Katie. They all had a great time. I can't believe Emily is 7 already!

Sunday School Outing

Our Sunday School class does an outing every month and this month we went to eat Mexican and then went to the Alabama Theatre. Justen & Kristi brought me a cake since it was my birthday weekend. I had never been to the Alabama Theatre, it was beautiful. We really enjoyed it. We missed you Shea!

Our 26th Birthday

For mine & Crystin's birthday this year, my dad cooked us Japanese. He made the rice, shrimp, steak, and chicken. After the wonderful meal we had a birthday cake and they all sang to us. It was real sweet. Crystin, glad you're my twin! I wouldn't have it any other way. I Love You!

What has she done now?

As a baby, Rachel never got into things. I never had to lock cabinets or close doors but now that she is older, she is making up for it. This is not the first time the house has gotten quiet and she gone missing. This night she went to her bedroom and found baby powder and poured it out everywhere. She was mainly pouring it onto her bed but it went everywhere. I had just dusted her room that morning but after she got hold of the powder, there was a white layer of powder all over everything. I am definately keeping a closer eye on her these days.

Rachel helping Clay

Several couple friends of ours have decided to cook dinner together every Sunday evening instead of eating out. Clay planted a garden this year and has reaped tons of vegetables. Everything from okra, tomatoes, squash, green beans, and peppers. Rachel loves helping Clay prepare the vegetables for the meal. We've enjoyed all the wonderful food Clay!

A Saturday at home

We had our first full day at home on a Saturday that we've had in a long time. Rachel played in her room with all the toys she never plays with and stayed in her pajamas all day. We kept my nephew Jaden that evening and he enjoyed playing with the girl stuff too.

Power Lab VBS

We had our Power Lab Vacation Bible School last week. Rachel got to go for her first time. She really enjoyed it. Me, Justen, & Heather were crew leaders for the Chargers, 5 & 6 year olds. We won the contest for having the most offering for the week and having the most bubbles in our test tube. We got to add a bubble to the test tube for each child present, each child that brought offering, a visitor, and did their daily bible challenge each night. Our team got to slime two people Friday night. They chose our student pastor Jason and our praise leader Kim. We had a great time! Thanks to Shea & Kim for organizing VBS this year. You both did a wonderful job!

VBS Finale

This year we did a VBS finale on Sunday morning doing a recap of VBS events and invited all the children and parents back to be with us. I thought this was a great idea to invite the families back and also to show those that didnt get to attend how much fun we had all week. Each child received a card with a picture they took at bible school and a schedule of our church services inside to invite them back.

Happy Fourth of July

For the Fourth of July, we spent the day with my family at my parents house. We grilled out, made homemade ice cream, played horseshoes, and went swimming.

She was exhausted by the end of the night.

Rachel's first trip to the dentist

watching the cavity video
Getting comfortable

Rachel's first trip to the dentist was probably worse on me than her. We got there and we went to a room with the hygienist and Rachel watched a little movie and talked to her a little bit. She then went to the back to get her teeth cleaned without me. I sat in the waiting room worrying about her the whole time, thinking she would be scared, crying, etc. I even teared up a few times. It was as if I had sent her off to surgery or something more serious than a teeth cleaning. Dr. Rohner told us that she was a little nervous but never cried and her teeth look great. Rachel told us that she "liked it, but didnt like it" but said she would go back so that's good. We'll be going back in 6 months.
