Our Kindergartner and Big Boy
Rachel started K5 2 weeks ago. It's hard to believe she's already big enough to go to school. I only teared up a few times so I thought I did fairly well. She loved it and already has a new best friend.

The same day Rachel started school, we took Jacob for his 8 week check-up. He weighsed 13 lbs 13 oz and is 24 1/4 inches long. 90th percentile for height and weight.

One week old
I laughed at loud when I looked over and Rachel was sitting beside Jacob looking at a Parents magazine!

What a difference 6 weeks makes
Jacob has grown so much in 6 weeks. His 2 week appt he was up to 9 lbs 4 oz and his 4 week he weighed 11 lbs! He takes 4 oz every 3 hours and I've started feeding him cereal at night before bed. He loves it! Rachel loves her baby brother and loves helping out with everything, except changing diapers. He's a very sweet snuggly baby. He does seem to have a small temper at times though. We love him so much and can't imagine our lives without him.
Jacob Payne Grier
Well I'm 7 weeks behind on posting. Jacob was born on June 11 at 1:47 pm weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. The labor was pretty easy. The dr broke my water at 7:30 am and I was at 10 cm by 1:00 pm. My epidural stopped working on one side (ouch). Luckily, they were able to get the anesthesiologist in to fix that before I started to push. I only pushed about 10 minutes before he was here.

36 weeks today
I went to the dr on Wednesday and I'm dilated 1 cm. They did a sonar and said I'm measuring a week ahead and he is in the 90th percentile. His approximate weight is 7 lbs 2 oz already! I'll go back next week for another check up.
Tea Party
Rachel's friend Madelyn had a tea party birthday. It was one of the cutest things I had ever seen. They each had their own place setting with a name card and a hat for each of them to wear. Madelyn's mom made her cake and it turned out great.
