Our best friends Clay & Justen had their sweet baby girl, Ella Jayne, on Sunday, April 20th on Clay's birthday. She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. We love her already and look forward to seeing her grow up.

Sunday Morning Mess

You know how things always go crazy on Sunday mornings when everyone is trying to get ready for church? Well look at what a mess Rachel made on this particular morning. I found this set of cansiters stored away so I just sat them on my kitchen table until I found another place for them. Little did I know there was still flour in one of them. When I went to take a shower and Curt was in the den, Rachel was in the kitchen playing with the canisters. She yelled to Curt "I'm cooking daddy" and Curt replied "ok" Little did he know she was actually preparing something in there. When he finally got up to go in the kitchen, this is what he found. He just stood there and smiled and she said "I made you a snack daddy"

Rachel got her ears pierced

Rachel had been asking to get her ears piereced like Mommy so a couple of weekends ago we went to Claire's. As you can tell from the video she is scared to death and you can tell when they actually pierce the ear from the scream she let out at the end. The crying was over before we even got to the car and she loves them now.

Friends

Rachel and Madelyn became friends at Mrs. Pat's house when they were only a few months old. Madelyn moved last year so they get together every once in a while to catch up. They had so much fun playing on the bed, riding in the jeep, and hunting easter eggs.

"Mamaw" Glenda Ruth Blackwell

Mamaw was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago and back in August became ill and found out the tumors in her body had grown. She had surgery to by-pass the tumor that was blocking her intestines and was in the hospital about 8 weeks. She was sent home with hospice in late October and passed away January 12, 2008. I always knew she was a great christian woman but never knew just how many lives she touched on a daily basis for the kingdom of God. We had her "Going Home Celebration" on January 15 where numerous people stood up and testified how wonderful, giving, and loving she was and how she impacted their lives tremendously. She will be missed greatly but the good news is that we will see her again one day.
